I believe that each of us is responsible for our own lives. If we do not love the life we are living, then we can change the path that we are travelling.

I use an eclectic approach to counseling, as no one person is the same; however, I put emphasis in my practice towards a mindful, solution-focused, and empathetic approach to therapy. I value personal interactions the most - working to engage in a genuine and empathetic manner. I love making connections with people, hearing their stories, and learning about their journey through life.

I have held employment in the public sector as a Maternity Care Coordinator at a public health department and most recently as a school social worker in the Wake County Public School System. In the private sector, I have worked as a Child and Family Therapist, specifically with children who were at risk for out of home placement. I offer you over 18 years of clinical, individual, couples, and family services.

I was born in North Carolina and attended school in Durham County. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. From there, I went on to graduate school at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work.
